Something’s Always Lost in Translation

Dan Wallace explains how word plays in the original language can fail to make it into the new language.  Therefore, when reading the Bible in English we don’t always catch everything that the original audience would.  We should not, however, let this discourage us from reading the Bible in English if we don’t know Greek or Hebrew.  There is still so much to be gained!

Yes, something is lost in translation, but very little in comparison to what’s not lost.
